First Florida Preseason Trip Preps Team

Having graduated only four Seniors, Andover Girls Lacrosse looks to improve on an impressive 11-3-1 record with a core group of returners and talented young additions.

“We’re really excited for the season […] we have a bunch of new girls that will make an immediate impact on the team,” said Co-Captain Nekele McCall ’14.

Hannah Burns ’15 said, “We have a lot of potential especially with some really bright young players.”

Included in these new additions is Beth Krikorian ’17, Claire Kister ’16 and Olivia LaMarche ’16.

For the first time, the team traveled to Florida for preseason over spring break to prepare itself for a winning season.

“It was a great team experience. Not only did we get to play a lot of lacrosse, but we got to be with our teammates and enjoy the nice weather,” said McCall.

“We dropped a couple close games last year that we’re looking to get back this year,” she added.

After the team’s successful trip to St. Petersburg Beach, FL, Andover continues its hard work and preparation for the upcoming season.

“I think the team’s potential will be tested by a combination of commitment and fitness. And tryouts have shown me that we are up for the challenge, with a cohesive group that’s ready to work,” said Tessa Peterson ’15.

Andover kicks off the season with a home game against Middlesex on Wednesday.
