Keith Robinson ’96 has created a large impact on campus, both as Science Department Chair and as the Head Coach of the All-Gender Nordic Skiing Team. After graduating from Andover in 1996, where he started his Nordic Skiing career, he has served as a coach for over two decades. Robinson leads with humor and positivity and encourages a hard-working environment. With many athletes who join having little Nordic experience, Robinson works to acclimate them to the physically strenuous sport.
Dylan Siegel ’26, who is currently competing in her second season, was welcomed to the team by Robinson’s leadership. She praised his ability to create a strong team dynamic, in addition to pushing athletes to reach their fullest potential.
“[Coach Robinson] is a great coach. He is very understanding and really kind to everyone. He pushes everyone to be the best they can be but acknowledges that it takes everyone different amounts of time to get used to the sport and figure out the techniques. He definitely creates a fun environment and is really a part of the team. He is easy to talk to and makes jokes with everyone,” said Siegel.
