Andover will host Phillips Exeter Academy (Exeter) on Saturday for the 146th Fall Andover/Exeter (A/E) rivalry. Beginning in 1878, A/E marks a culminating moment for both teams to demonstrate grit and school pride. Andover looks to continue its dominance over Exeter after last year’s Fall Term victory. Along with the five varsity teams competing at A/E, Andover Boys Water Polo and Cross Country will be competing at Interschols.
Boys Soccer

Andover Boys Soccer awaits to secure its seed in the NEPSAC playoffs against its long-time rival, Exeter. Although Head Coach Joe Donnelly is new to the team, he has led Andover to outscore its opponents 29-20, having won five shutouts throughout the season. Although Andover lost in the playoff quarterfinals last year, the team looks to seek redemption and exceed expectations by winning the finals this year.
Girls Volleyball

Andover Girls Volleyball seeks redemption in a rematch against the undefeated Exeter team, who won in straight sets on October 16. Led by Co-Captains Saraya Angbazo ’25 and Sophie Holten ’25, the team aims to break Exeter’s winning streak and put an end to Andover’s own six-year A/E drought, with its last victory in 2018. Beyond the game, the team is rallying to honor Head Coach Clyfe Beckwith, who is retiring after 27 seasons. In his final A/E match, Girls Volleyball hopes to cap his impressive tenure with a memorable win.
Field Hockey

Andover Field Hockey hopes to cap off their unbeaten season with a resounding win against Exeter on Saturday. Throughout its fifteen games, Andover has outscored its opponents 99-7, winning three games with at least ten scored goals. The team has also notched notable wins against strong opponents, including a 3-1 victory against Nobles, the only team that beat it in last year’s season. The team hopes to secure the top seed in the NEPSAC Championships after losing in the finals last year and take their first Championship since 2021.
Girls Soccer

Andover Girls Soccer has had an impressive season, led by captains Ava Davey ’25, Hayden Fischer ’25, and Emily Mara ’25. The team has gone undefeated since early October and recently displayed a dominant victory over Noble and Greenough. From the win, Andover secured the 7th spot in the playoff contention. After coming off a 6-0 win on their senior night, the team prepares for its game against Exeter’s team which is ranked 19th in NEPSAC.

Despite a season filled with trials and tribulations, Andover Football looks to take on the second-ranked Exeter team in the Northeast Prep League. After several close losses, Andover landed its first win on Senior Night in the game leading up to A/E weekend, defeating Deerfield by a single point. The team hopes to bring that momentum heading into Phelps Stadium this weekend.
