Field Hockey (9-0) remains undefeated after back-to-back shutouts against St. Paul’s and Middlesex. Through the team’s optimistic energy and vigorous spirit, the players displayed exceptional teamwork on the field, which contributed to its victories. Additionally, goals from key players like Co-Captain Maren Boyle ’26 and newcomer Meredith Southard Pantano ’27 drove the team’s offense against St. Paul’s.
Along with these offensive efforts, the team’s ability in both matchups to position itself effectively and capitalize on penalty corners proved crucial to its wins.
Catherine Powers ’28 reflected on the factors that contributed to the victory against St. Paul’s. She emphasized the team’s ability to stay coordinated and energized despite the cold weather.
“Even though it was really cold, everybody was positive and being really loud on the sidelines and on the field. [We] scored a goal in a corner and it just looked really nice. We were doing a really good job being where we needed to be,” said Powers.
Following its shutout win against Middlesex, Powers remarked on how the team hopes to continue its strong winning streak deep into the season.
Field Hockey will face Northfield Mount Hermon on Friday at home.
