Boys Baseball Loses in Valiant Efforts Against Worcester and Governor’s

4/19 – Andover: 5, Worcester: 9

4/19 – Andover 1, Worcester: 4

4/22 – Andover: 3, Governor’s: 6

Boys Baseball (4-5) traveled to Worcester Academy last Saturday, playing its opponent in back-to-back games, and faced Governor’s Academy on Tuesday. The team’s best efforts weren’t enough, and it dropped all three games. Although the team put up a strong effort, inconsistencies on the mound and in the batter’s box hurt the team. Despite little formal practice due to the long weekend, players still kept busy off-hours—practicing with teammates, conducting long toss drills, and playing catch.

Looking forward, Boys Baseball has a busy weekend, scheduled with games against the Winchendon School, Poly Prep Day School, Brooks School, and Dexter Southfield over four consecutive days from Friday through to Monday. With a busier schedule looming, the team looks to fine-tune its competitiveness on the mound, strengthen its base running, and execute sound defense. The team also seeks to become more aggressive on the mound and communicate more effectively as it attempts to reverse its recent string of defeats.
