Revisit Shows Welcome Incoming Students with Showcase of Andover’s Creative Talent

Alex Lin ’28, an audience member who attended the event in hopes of meeting her revisit student, recalls the joyful mood at the performance.

“I didn’t go to my revisit last year. But I felt like the Revisit Show this year was really, really fast-paced like Andover’s Grasshopper Night. It was super energetic, from the start. Goose & Moose kicked it off and brought in the energy. It showed all the aspiring kids, those deciding whether or not they wanted to come to Andover, a taste of what being part of the student body is like: energetic, supportive, full of music, dance, and joy. I feel like the Revisit Show did that very well,” said Lin.

For revisiting students, the performances aren’t just entertainment — they’re a window into the vibrant, student-driven culture that transforms Andover into something more than just a school. Performers invited the audience into a shared experience that is bound to stay with you even beyond your Andover career.

“I actually remember this from my revisit day show, when I came here in eigth grade. I saw Photon perform, I was really shocked at everything they did. I was like ‘Oh my gosh, they’re spinning lights. How are they doing that?’… For revisiting students, some of them are coming from places that don’t have dance clubs at all, and they were never able to watch performances at their schools. That was my personal experience. So coming to PA, there were so many dance groups on campus. Seeing that was really cool for me, and getting a taste of what I could do at Andover,” said Allegra Lee ’27.

While the revisit shows appeal to students with all backgrounds and interests, it especially allows the future generations of the Andover arts community to get excited about what their careers could hold. Nathan Ramani ’27, a member of Fidelio choir, shared some key takeaways for incoming students of Andover who are interested in performing.

“My advice, especially for those interested in the arts, and speaking from my own perspective in the music program, is this. When I was a freshman, I was a little too hesitant. I didn’t really take advantage of all the opportunities. Looking back, I wish I had auditioned for more ensembles and a cappella groups. I just wish I got more involved earlier. Now, as a Lower, I’m trying to catch up on everything I missed. So I’d definitely suggest throwing yourself into the program as much as you can as a Junior,” said Ramani.
