On Saturday, Girls Lacrosse (3-0) secured a dominant 16-9 victory against New Hampton. On Wednesday against Middlesex, the team won 15-1. Already, the team has strengthened team bonds among its athletes, engaging in team activities both on and off the field. Leading up to its games, the team focused on developing its offensive and defensive strategy and strengthening moments of transition.
Against New Hampton, the team focused on staying dynamic on defense. On offense, Girls Lacrosse utilized its speed to work toward creating scoring opportunities.
Its matchup against Middlesex, being rather uncompetitive, allowed the team’s newer athletes to gain experience on the field. Draws, the method in which teams begin or recommence play, were one of the team’s main focuses leading up to Wednesday, and Girls Lacrosse’s athletes executed on doing so.
Girls Lacrosse plans on continuing its win streak against Nobles and Greenough on Friday and Deerfield on Wednesday.
