On Saturday, Boys Lacrosse (2-1) traveled to and triumphed over Hotchkiss in a 12-7 victory. On Wednesday, however, the team fell to Middlesex in a close 11-13 loss. Against Hotchkiss, the team performed especially well in faceoffs and led the game following the first half. Additionally, postgraduate athlete Michael Garritty posted four goals. It faced Middlesex at Home, and its support from the crowd seemed to have both positive and negative effects. Regarding the latter, the Home energy seemed to disengage Boys Lacrosse.
Against Middlesex, though, the team maintained strong physicality and grit. Despite its loss, following the game’s halfway mark, the team changed its course, focusing on playing at its best. Specifically, nearing the end of the game, Tyler Miocevich ‘26 played a key role on offense, keeping Andover up to speed with Middlesex. The team will face Northfield Mount Hermon and Proctor on Saturday and Wednesday, respectively.
