Girls Tennis

Andover Girls Tennis had a busy week, playing in a tournament at Kent last Saturday, and then facing Thayer last Wednesday. Both were successful outings for the team, which placed second in the tournament and beat Thayer 7-2.

Reagan Posorske ’17 made it to the semifinals in the singles portion of the tournament, while Co-Captain Camille Price ’15 won the consolation bracket.

On the doubles side, Co-Captain Campbell Howe ’14 and Isabella Haegg ’16 claimed first place in the tournament. The duo put down four opponents over the course of the day: Hotchkiss, Exeter, Taft and the tournament’s winner, Kingswood Oxford.

On Wednesday, Andover faced off against Thayer at home.

Posorske continued her undefeated streak in league play as she won 6-2, 6-1. Haegg and Howe both won 7-5, 6-1, at Number Three and Number Four, respectively. Katherine Tobeason ’14 claimed a 6-1, 6-0 victory at Number Five and Sewon Park ’17 won 6-1, 6-1.

The only singles loss of the day came from Price, who lost 4-6, 2-6.

In doubles, Posorske and Price picked up a rare loss, falling 8-4. Howe and Haegg dominated court two 8-3 and Tobeason and Lara Danovitch ’16 crushed their opponents 8-1.
