Ode to ’15

In the midst of writing papers, studying for finals, sleeping far too little and scrambling to get everything done in the final stretch of the school year, it can become easy for us to forget how close we are to summer. What for us seems like a week-full of boxes to check before we can relax at home is, for the graduating class, their all-too fleeting final moment before Commencement.

Senior year seems terrifying to us Uppers – we’re nervous about the pressure of the college application process and the burden of knowing that each day will bring us closer to graduation and the real world. Thankfully, the Class of 2015 has shown us what it means to be great leaders and role models. It is the wisdom they have imparted upon us that will enable us step up to the role of Seniors next year and accept the challenges that the year will inevitably bring.

To the Class of 2015, we would like to say thank you. Thank you for being our leaders, our mentors and our friends. Thank you for everything you have contributed to the school, for the impact you have had on the Andover community, for the mark you will leave even after you graduate. You inspire us every day with your passion and leadership.

We would also like to thank The Phillipian vol. CXXXVII. Under your leadership, we blossomed from Associates to Editors. You taught us diligence and judgement. You taught us to work together and give everything we have to the paper. You taught us the importance of accuracy. Although the board turned over in February, you will forever remain our Editors. Thank you for everything you have given us.
We cannot wait to see the incredible things that the Class of 2015 will proceed to do. After Commencement, you will have the entire world at your fingertips. We are so excited to see what you do with it.

Thank you for everything, ’15.
