Andover: 19 – Deerfield: 5
Recovering from a tough 7-13 loss against Noble and Greenough School last Friday, Girls Lacrosse beat Deerfield with a score of 19-5. After losing its three-game win streak to start the season, the girls made a statement with a decisive win over Deerfield. They started strong, relentlessly attacking and dominating through all four quarters. The team’s ball movement when attacking was especially impressive. These cuts and passes opened up the defense, allowing Girls Lacrosse to score multiple goals in the final third.
The team is now 4-1 overall, and has scored 73 goals in the last five games with its powerful offense. The team faces off in its first two away games against Milton on Friday and Pingree on Saturday. They will also play St. Paul’s at home on Wednesday.
